Surf: The Hook gets really good on maxing S swells even if it’s blowing S. Always smaller than more famous spots to the south, these rights and lefts can be picture perfect when it’s low incoming and due W wind. South of here, the beach diminishes and the seawall causes backwash at higher tides. There are some waves, but only locals have the time to work out when and where. Environment: Same deal as The Cove with park entrance fees and limited numbers.
