The Hook gets really good on maxing S swells even if it’s blowing S. Always smaller than more famous spots to the south, these rights and lefts can be picture perfect when it’s low incoming and due W wind. South of here, the beach diminishes and the seawall causes backwash at higher tides. There are some waves, but only locals have the time to work out when and where.
