Lots of sand on the outside bar translates to barrels at lower tides, which then feather at higher tides before pitching on the inside. Will handle both the biggest swells around and some S in the wind.
General: The section of beach from 36th Street to 42nd Street offers some of the best surf on the island. Northeast swells deliver quality lefts that break off the rock jetties in this part of town. Beach tags are required in Sea Isle City in the summer. Tides: Mid-high generally best Size: Waist high-well overhead Wind: NW Swell: NE to SE Bottom: Sand Paddling: Most of the time is on the easier side, big days are tough. Spot Rating: Fun on the right swell.

Crowd Factor: Light to moderate. Local Vibe: Mellow to moderate.
Rarely crowded since there is such a wide area to choose from. The Sea Isle City lifeguards are all surfers and will keep swimmers away from the jetties, which are designated surfing areas. Tags loosely enforced and Wednesday is free. No pollution or regular rips.
Pretty clean overall, except after very heavy rain.
