Agger surf guide

Agger is a surf spot located south of the town, where a series of jetties help stabilize the delicate barrier between the sea and Nissum fjord. The area has a mix of sandy beach and jetties, making it a unique place to catch some waves. It's not usually crowded, which is nice for surfers looking for a bit of space to ride.

The spot works best with a southwest swell and east winds. You can expect waves peeling both left and right, which is great for riders of all abilities, especially beginners. The surf can handle sizes as small as 1 foot (around 0.3 meters) and can produce a long righthander after the third pier in big northwest conditions, but you'll need at least 4 meters of swell for that. The ideal conditions happen during low to mid tide, but it can also work well at high tide.

Be cautious of strong rips in the area; they can be tricky if you're not paying attention. The jetties help manage the current to some extent, but it's still good to keep an eye on the surf patterns. Remember that when the conditions are right, the waves can be worth the visit, especially for longboarders looking to enjoy a chilled-out session.
