More about Airports surfspot
General: This surf spot, located next to Tobago's Crown Point International (hence the name), is a hollow right-hand break on the southwest coast of Tobago. It is not very consistent, but when it does break it can be a world-class barrel depending on the swell direction. There is also a left breaking at times, which tends to be short but is just as good as the right. Tides: Low Size: Head high-double overhead Wind: East or Southeast Swell: N, NW Bottom: Reef with some fire coral. Paddling: Depends on the swell -- more work as it gets bigger. Spot Rating: It takes a swell but when it is working it can be a really good wave.
Intermediate to advanced
Park right there.
Late summer and fall for tropical cyclone swells but late fall through early spring for consistency.
Crowd Factor: Normally not but can be when it is working. Local Vibe: Mellow. Be cool and keep it that way.
Not a concern.
Heaving barrels and the occasional patch of fire coral.
