More about Angourie surfspot

The classic NSW righthand point that often resides in the world's Top 10 Waves list, Angourie is a perfect wave that never lets you relax. Elevates abruptly over a shelf, making for a tricky entry into multiple bending bowl sections and chunky walls that only experienced surfers will be able to deal with. NE-E ups the ante as it hits the reef square on, while big SE will rumble wider, but still with malicious power. Handles triple overhead and prefers lower tides unless it is bigger.

Always crowded and with guys who have made this wave their life mission. Jumping off the rocks is fraught so the paddle from the beach may be more attractive for the uninitiated. Anga's Backbeach is awesome in any N wind and may even have a left off the point.
