Surf: Bang Tao sports 8km (5mi) of prime tourist sand lined with casuarina trees and although it’s popular for windsurf contests, the swell doesn’t seem to make it in here very well. When it does, the south end is protected from wind and the middle will have more empty peaks at low to mid, but rips are strong. Environment: Rare spot for waves and crowds.
