It can handle swell sizes starting from about 1ft (0.3 meters), and the waves tend to break over sandy bottoms. You can catch both left and right waves here, depending on how the swell hits. The best time to surf is during low to mid tide, but high tide can also be okay. For wind, northeast is generally preferable, so keep an eye on the forecast before heading out.
