South of the river is Barra da Cuanza with several spots that are hardly ever ridden because of tough access. One of the 3 reefs is the only right in Angola, nestled under multi-coloured cliffs. Just remember not to paddle across the river because of sharks and crocs! There is also a nearby military installation.
