Surf: It’s very inconsistent and probably the most polluted wave in Portugal, but once in a blue moon the Douro River forms perfect sand bars. Fast, hollow leg-burning rights and short lefts happen a few times a year for the lucky crowd. Incoming tide and NW swell. Environment: Rips and thick-skinned locals.
