Beachbreak is a stretch of sand that can be a decent spot for surfers when conditions are right. It's known to get bigger than nearby breaks, especially on smaller days with a few swells running through. However, be cautious, as it tends to close out when it gets double overhead, making it challenging for many. If you're thinking of driving on the beach, be aware that quite a few people have ended up stuck in the sand.
This spot handles swell sizes from about 4ft (1.2m) to 8ft (2.4m) and works best with swells coming from the South, SouthSouthEast, SouthSouthWest, and WestNorthWest. The waves typically break over sand and offer both right and left breaks. It’s suitable for all abilities, from beginners to experts. Expect it to perform well during low, low-to-mid, mid, and high tide. Preferred wind directions are NorthNorthEast, NorthEast, EastNorthEast, and East, so check the forecast before heading out for the best conditions.
Access to Beachbreak is a bit rustic, so having a 4WD and some camping gear is recommended. Crowds are pretty much non-existent, giving you plenty of space to enjoy your session. While there’s a bit of muck here and there, the overall environment is mostly fine where you’ll be surfing. Just keep an eye out for rips, as they can be a hazard at times.
