Befamata surf guide

Befamata is a pretty remote beachbreak that not many surfers venture to. It’s got a long, sandy stretch that runs eastward, giving you some space to set up your gear. The water here is clear, and the scenery is nice, making it an appealing spot for those looking to escape the busier beaches.

When it comes to surfing at Befamata, it handles swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and can work well with swell coming in from the SouthEast and SouthWest. The waves break over sand and offer both left and right-handers. For the best conditions, you're looking at low to mid tides, with a light east wind being ideal since the breezes can get a bit cross-shore with strong SE winds.

This spot is beginner-friendly since the sand bottom makes it safer for those still learning the ropes. It’s a good place to practice without the crowd, so if you're just starting or want to enjoy some easier waves, Befamata is worth considering.
