Big Rock (WA) surf guide

Surf: Big Rock, another shallow, sucky right, gets intimidating over 5ft (1.5m) but still attracts plenty of natural footers to this crowded stretch of coast. Can handle some size. Other shallow reefs in the area will always have a wave in small swells spreading the crew down through Cobblestones, a superb right with a viscous inside shut-down known as the Cheese Grater. In front of the car park is Noisies, more pitching left and rights over an uncompromising reef. Environment: Far from secret anymore, this whole stretch from Big Rock down to Lefties gets packed when the swell and wind is down. More urchins, sharp reef and some currents.
