Boca de Apisa is Colima’s last option for a quality beachbreak; thick, fast and cracking in a medium S, which can produce long rivermouth lefts when the sand is settled. Peaks to the north and south also work well in the winter NW swells.
Beware the strong currents. Hazards include alligators. South of here is a Sunset-like reef which works only on large swells and easier beachies at northwest-facing Punta San Telmo.
