More about Bonnet Point surfspot

A big south swell is needed to get these very long lefthanders to run down Bonnet Point. The cliffs provide good protection from NE winds, and all tides are surfable when it’s overhead. A short tube section, but generally a performance wave with plenty of time to perfect turns.

Sometimes crowded at this fickle spot, usually when elsewhere is hurting from the wind. A rip will help get out the back on the long return paddle. Tight roadside parking, or use the private beach club lot in winter or after hours.
