It’s bodyboarding only at Brennecke’s, where the tight cove holds peaks over sandy reef. Poipu Beach has a few breaks including Inside Waiohai, a sucky higher tide peak and some outside reef action at First Break for experts. Beginners can head to Lemon Drops for rolling walls over rock and sand.
