Bulli is a laid-back surf spot located in New South Wales, Australia. This beach offers consistent waves and a friendly vibe, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The beach features clean sand and a scenic backdrop, perfect for spending a day by the ocean.
The surf at Bulli really shines during NE to SE swells. It works well with swell sizes as small as 1ft (about 0.3m) and can handle larger swells too. You’ll find a good mix of lefts and rights, with most breaks being beach breaks over sand. The south end has a solid right reef break in the corner, while the northern headland offers a tricky left and an unpredictable rocky right called Peggies, which is best for expert surfers. The waves are generally better during low to mid to high tide, and the preferred wind direction is from the west. This spot is best suited for intermediate surfers, so keep that in mind before you paddle out.
The Bulli Beach Reserve has all the basic facilities you need for a day at the beach, including picnic areas and restrooms, which can be really convenient after a surf session. Whether you're catching some waves or just relaxing, Bulli has something for everyone.
