Surf: Below the 2nd highest sea cliffs in Europe are two fickle point breaks, usually only breaking on large W swells. They both tend to be a bit mushy and there are large rocks in the line-up, but sometimes they produce a nice right wall. Access: This spot is below the second highest sea cliffs in Europe, and requires a trip down a cable car to reach. Directions: Follow signs to Cabo Girão as you head west from Funchal. Environment: No real hazards for intermediates up. Only accessible via a cable car, which is worth the trip for the scenery alone.
