Capo di Feno surf guide

Capo di Feno is a surf spot located about 30 minutes from Ajaccio. It's not super easy to find, but it's worth the effort if you're looking for some quality waves away from the crowds. This place is pretty chill, and you can usually escape the busier beach spots despite its proximity to town. The vibe here is relaxed, making it an enjoyable spot to hang out and surf.

The surf at Capo di Feno works best with a NorthWest swell and can handle swell sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters). You'll find mostly beach breaks here along with some uneven reef sections. The waves can be left or right, but the rights tend to be the more favored option when the conditions are right. Low, mid, and high tides all offer good waves, but make sure to check the wind, as East is generally the preferred direction. This spot can pack a punch, so it's recommended for intermediate surfers looking for a bit of challenge, especially on those hollow days.

While you’re out there, keep an eye out for rip currents, especially if you’re not familiar with the area. In warmer months, you might also encounter Med jellyfish, which can be a nuisance. Overall, Capo di Feno has a lot to offer for those willing to seek out its waves, but it's best to be cautious and aware of the conditions.
