Chendor Beach surf guide

Chendor Beach is a surf spot located in a remote area, and getting there requires walking down a sandy track for about 1km after driving for another 1km. It's a less crowded spot compared to others nearby, making it a hidden gem for those willing to put in a little effort to find it.

The surf at Chendor Beach can be quite variable. On low tides and with decent swell, you might find some wrapping left-hand waves. The optimal swell direction here is from the NorthEast, and it can handle swell sizes starting from about 0.3 meters (1ft). The waves tend to break over sandy bottoms, creating point breaks that can suit intermediate surfers. Although it’s not as consistent as Cherating, you can catch some fun rides when the conditions align. Just keep in mind that the wave energy here isn't super focused, so the quality can change quickly. You might go from short, dribbly shoulders to the occasional long ride if the sand is set up right, but don’t count on that happening every time.

For the best conditions, it's ideal to surf when the wind is coming from the west and the tide is either low or mid. This spot is great for surfers looking for some variety in their sessions, but it’s wise to know that the quality can fluctuate based on sand movement and swell direction changes from the North and East.
