This is the most exposed part of the coastline with a swell window from SSW - NE and a bunch of sand-covered reefs provide the basis for some average beachies up to headhigh, providing the tide doesn't get too high. Next bay south, Chikura has less angle on the S swell but a bit of protection from SW winds. May hold a bit more size but is generally a longboard spot with mellow slides in waist to headhigh conditions.
Parking is free back from the beach and there is a local surf shop.
