Coastguard Beach surf guide
Surf: Nausett Light to Coastguard Beach experiences heavy cliff erosion that washes cobblestone and rock into the line-up. This helps sand build up in well-defined bars for short periods. Low tide on a SE groundswell will make the rights link up through to the beach. Hollow and powerful until higher tides create mushy shoulders.
Environment: Sometimes crowded, currents, and the odd VW Beetle-sized rock in the water. A shuttle service operates from a large pay carpark to the beach in summer.
