Coconut Swing is a surf spot located on Pulau Doi, part of the islands known as Loloda Utara. The area is quite rugged and doesn’t have as many surfing options compared to the neighboring islands to the south. It's a spot that's not very well known, so you might find fewer surfers around, but it's still worth checking out if you're nearby.
The waves at Coconut Swing are mainly lefts that break over live coral. It handles swell sizes of about 2 feet (0.6 meters) and works best with a northeast swell direction, though it can also pick up north and east swells. The preferred wind direction is from the northwest, and you can surf here during low, mid, or high tide. This spot is more suited for expert surfers, so it’s not the best choice if you're still learning.
While the waves can be savage and not every session will yield rideable waves, those with the right skills might find a decent challenge here. Just be prepared for a more demanding environment, as the breaks can be inconsistent. If you know what you’re doing, Coconut Swing can offer a fun time on the water.
