Colac Bay is home to a beginner friendly beachbreak and righthand Nicks Point at the south end, a walling wave which needs at least 3ft of swell to clear the rocky coastline.

From Invercargill head noth on North Road State Highway 6 out of town and turn left onto Wallacetown Lorneville Highway State Highway 99. Continue through Wallacetown and Riverton. When you get to Colac turn left on either Colac Bay Road or Colac Foreshore Road, then drive south west on Colac Foreshore Road to the end of the bay and park near the beach.
