Crushers is a surf spot located just over the channel from Supers. This left-hand break requires a bit more southwest swell to really turn on and deliver those solid barrels across the shallow reef. Although it shares the same tide and swell conditions as the right, it often falls a bit short in terms of quality, so manage your expectations if you’re planning to ride here.
This spot works best with a southwest swell and can handle sizes up to about 6 ft (1.8 meters). The waves break over an uneven reef, making it essential to be familiar with the area. It offers predominantly left waves, which are great for those who prefer that direction. Ideally, you want to catch it during a low tide and with northeast winds for the best conditions. It's worth noting that this spot is recommended for expert surfers due to its challenging nature.
One of the nice things about Crushers is that it tends to be the least crowded break along the Cactus stretch, even when lots of surfers are around. This provides a bit more space to enjoy your session without fighting for waves, which is definitely a plus if you're looking for a more laid-back surf experience.
