Crystals surf guide
Surf: Over Absecon Inlet, Crystals shallow beachbreak peak forms up close to the jetty in NE swells. Popular with bodyboarders looking for the steep, short lefts and occasional rights that break back towards the jetty.
Crystals wonβt handle as much size as the breaks just south of here.
Environment: Free parking here may end up more costly, as this is a depressed downbeat neighborhood and rip-offs are common. Less crowded and usually no tags needed.
Surf: General: At Crystals, big, nor'easter-spawned lefts break off a rock jetty at the north end of Atlantic City next to Absecon Inlet. It's the cleanest spot in Atlantic City with a NE wind, as the angle of the beach and the jetty afford protection. This is a single peak that can't hold crowds, but everyone usually gets a turn, mostly experienced surfers and bodyboarders.
