Cumberland Island surf guide
Surf: General: Cumberland Island is a beautiful national seashore comprising the final miles of Georgia's coast. There is also good beachbreak -- comparable to Fernandina Beach -- and it takes swells from all directions, but you have to get a ferry or take your own boat here.
Tides: mid to high

Paddling: Hard NE and SW winds can produce strong currents, but generally pretty mellow.
Spot Rating: Can offer a fun little wave on its day. Worth considering if Fernandina looks fun or it is a crowded weekend.

Crowds: Crowd Factor: Shouldn't be a problem.
Local Vibe: None.
Environment: Some runoff after heavy rains but pretty good typically
