Dead Fisherman Right surf guide
Surf: The southwest-facing coast is exposed to the southern swells coming up the Mozambique channel, which sometimes show some decent size in winter. There’s potential for more waves to be discovered by boating along the outer reefs between the northwestern tip of the island and Vouani. Just west of this village lies Dead Fisherman Right, a hollow, ledging wall that sprints across the coral shelf in front of a big rock, offering proper barrels when it's clean.
Environment: The surrounding waters are treacherous for outriggers and the wave packs a punch with heavy hold-downs.
