Surf: Concepción is the capital of Region 8 and the second largest city in Chile, sitting alongside the Bio Bio river, which enters the sea at Desembocadura. Scattered rocks lurk in the beachbreak that picks up plenty of swell for the local bodyboarders. Often closes out, but can show some real form when the sand has been allowed to settle. Environment: High consistency and sometimes crowded as it is the easiest spot to hit in town. Considering how much industry goes on around here, water quality is variable.
