Diarabasin is located 45 kilometers north of Baler and offers surfers a spot that can be rewarding, though access can be tricky after heavy rains. It's known for its fast, left-hand reef break, making it a good option for those looking for some fun waves, provided they are ready for a bit of a trek.
This spot works best with swells coming from the Northeast, but also catches waves from the North and East. It can handle swell sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and is mainly a reef break. If you're an intermediate surfer, you’ll enjoy the snappy waves here, especially when the wind comes from the west. The tide can be low, mid, or high, so you have some flexibility with timing your sessions.
Keep in mind that the reef can be uneven, so be cautious as you paddle out. Diarabasin might not have the consistency of some of the more famous spots, but it can still serve up some decent waves when conditions line up right. Plan accordingly and enjoy your time in the water!
