More about Dinahs Beach surfspot

The remote beachbreak at Dinahs Beach is the last road accessible spot on the eastern peninsula and is fully exposed to swell and wind. Powerful triangular peaks are usually found at the north end and it’s often empty.

From Napier, head north on Pandora Road State Highway 2, onto Meeanee Quay and Main North Road out of the city. Continue on State Highway 2 through Wairoa, then at Nuhaka go straight through the roundabout onto Nuhaka Opoutama Road. Continue along Nuhaka Opoutama Road, turn right onto Ormond Drive. WHen you get to Mahia beach, continue straight ahead onto Mahia East Coast Road. The road will cut across to the east coast of mahia peninsula and down the coast through Mahia. Continue down to the South East Coast until you find Diners beach, its the longest stretch of beach along this part of the coast.

Rips and remoteness make this beach better for non-beginners.
