Diva surf guide

Diva is a surf spot located near a lighthouse that has a reputation for producing some decent waves, but it doesn't come through consistently. It works best with overhead swells from the NorthEast to East. This isn't really a winter spot, as it needs specific conditions to get the best rides. The two sections, Maquinita and Horizonte, have their own vibe and were even used for the contest site in the 1999 Pan-American games.

When the conditions align, Diva can handle swell sizes around 5 ft (1.5 m) and features both point and beach breaks. The waves typically break to the right, which is handy for regular footers. For the best results, you'll want to catch it on a low or mid tide, ideally with a West wind. This spot is more suited for intermediate surfers, so keep that in mind if you're planning a session here.

Expect Diva to be pretty crowded, especially when the waves are firing. Given that it can deliver quality rides, many surfers flock here, which can affect the vibe in the water. Just be prepared for a packed lineup and make sure to respect those around you.
