Dolphinarium is located south of the Hilton in the Mahim district. It's a beach right next to the old Dolphinarium and offers a decent spot for surfers. The beach itself isn’t particularly remarkable, but it has a curve that allows it to face the NW, which helps it pick up the wind swell better. One good thing about this spot is that parking is pretty easy, which is a nice change for Tel Aviv.
This surf spot works best with a NorthWest swell direction, but it can also handle swells coming from the SouthWest and North. It breaks over sand and offers both left and right wave directions. The waves are generally suitable for beginners, with optimal swell sizes ranging from 1 foot (about 0.3 meters) and can work at low, mid, or high tides. The preferred wind direction is from the East, which helps create decent surfing conditions.
If you're heading out to Dolphinarium, it’s a great spot for beginner surfers looking to catch some waves. The combination of its swell directions and sand breaks makes it a viable option, especially when conditions are right. Overall, it's a laid-back beach where you can enjoy some time riding the waves without too much hassle.
