E.T.'s surf guide

E.T.'s is a surf spot that can offer decent waves, mainly during the summer when the Northwest to North swells come in. It works best with light NorthEast to East winds, but be aware that it can get blown out easily and is often pretty inconsistent. If you're looking to ride here, keep in mind that you'll need to chase the right conditions.

The best swell direction for E.T.'s is from the Northwest, but it can also handle swells coming from the North. When it's on, the waves can reach up to 3 feet (around 1 meter) and break over live coral. The wave type is reef, and it breaks to the right. No matter what, you'll want to aim for low, mid, or high tide to catch the best waves here. This spot is more suited to experienced surfers, so if you're not at that level, it might be a bit challenging.

Just a heads up, other nearby surf spots like Loonies, Sharkie's, and Razors can be just as unpredictable and often require a long boat trip to get to. If you’re exploring surrounding areas, Eua Island has some other waves to check out, including a rare wave that breaks down a cliff at Ufilei, along with a couple of lefts and a right south of the harbor during moderate SW swells. Just keep in mind the rocky coral shelf isn’t the best for surfing, with plenty of tidal pools and blowholes around.
