Very average beachbreak, regarded as the county’s premier spot because chalk reefs add some definition to the sandbars. Picks up all swells but best on a N swell and S wind at higher tides.
Banks not as good since the removal of the sewage pipe. Sharp flints on the rocky inside and strong currents undisturbed by groynes. Always crowded. Pay and display car park on cliff.
