More about El Brazo surfspot

The Alacrán Peninsula used to be an island before being connected to the land when the port of Arica was built in the ‘60s. El Brazo’s sand-covered reef breaks at the northern tip of the island off the elbow jetty and requires a large wrapping swell and S-SW winds. When on, it’s a large tubular A-frame with more chance of making the rights, which stay open longer.

Pretty low consistency and crowds. Few will see or score this wave.
