More about El Hueco surfspot

El Hueco is a heavy, heaving barrel hitting the reef off the tip of the point at Lobitos. Needs solid swell from the S-SW to start breaking and shows its gaping pits best on negative tides. Reminiscent of Cabo Blanco thanks to the proximity of the exposed rocks to the take-off point and the speed required to thread this one through. Can link up through to Lobitos on those special days, but is generally a short ride.

One of Peru's top tubes for sure, but it doesn't happen every day. Medium consistency and crowds, but they will be the best of the bunch, so be sure of your air-drop to casual tube stance skills. Can be some currents also. Backdrop of oil platforms.
