Embleton Bay surf guide
Surf: General: Northumbria can be a goose-chase, hunting down the fickle spots that come to life only in very specific combination of conditions. However Embleton, watched over by the haunting Dunstanburgh Castle, is home to one of the regions most reliable beachbreaks. Despite this, it's still usually pretty quiet. As NE swells roll down the North Sea, Embleton juices up, creating fun, often hollow peaks along its length. In larger swells, from mid-high tide, a decent walling right-hander peels by the rocky, boulder point at the southern edge of the bay.
