F.A's surf guide

F.A.'s is located just north of the St. Augustine Pier. It's a little protrusion on the coastline that offers a decent surf spot, especially when the conditions align right. This area can get pretty crowded, as surfers know it's a place to catch some waves. While it doesn't have the same reputation as some other nearby spots, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a fun time in the water.

This spot works best with a southeast swell and can handle waves ranging from 2 feet (about 0.6 meters) up to 8 feet (approximately 2.4 meters). You can expect both lefts and rights peeling off a rock jetty, especially at higher tides. F.A.'s will typically break over sand, making it a suitable surf option for beginners. The best times to surf here are during low, mid, and high tides, especially when the wind is coming from the southwest. Just keep in mind that, due to the setup, there can be some rocks on the inside, so it's a good idea to pay attention when paddling out.

You'll find that F.A.'s can be consistent, making it a spot worth visiting for those looking for some reliable surf. Just be aware of the crowd, as it can get busy, so it might be better to arrive early or on weekdays if you want a little more room to maneuver. Overall, it's a good place to practice your skills and enjoy some waves.
