Faja Dos Vimes surf guide

Faja Dos Vimes is located on the south coast and is known as the only regularly surfed spot in this area. It can pick up swells from the southeast to the west and works best when the winds are coming from the north. Although it can be a decent option, be aware that it doesn't get as much attention as other spots, so it might not always offer the best conditions.

This break is notable for its waves, handling swell sizes around 3ft (about 1 meter). The optimal swell direction is from the west, while it also picks up some energy from the southeast. The waves typically break over a rocky ledge, with left-hand waves being the most common. Surfing here is more suitable for intermediate surfers, as the conditions can get fast and hollow, especially with a due southwest swell. It's worth mentioning that the best tides for catching waves are during low to mid-tide.

The spot has medium consistency, but be cautious as the west winds can really mess with the surf. Crowds are usually not a big issue since not many locals are keen on surfing here. If you're looking for a less crowded experience and some fun waves, Faja Dos Vimes could be worth a try when the conditions align.
