Figari is a surf spot located in the Baie di Figari, known for its average beachbreaks situated among the rocks on the east side of the bay. While it's not the top choice for surfers, it's more popular for kite and windsurfing. If you head further north to Portigliolo, you’ll find another stretch of sand that can work well with onshore winds and some decent W swell. On those good days, you might catch a few fun waves.
The surf at Figari is best with a south-west swell, but it can also pick up some waves from the north-west. It generally handles swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (around 0.6 meters). The waves can break over sand, offering both lefts and rights, which is good for intermediate surfers looking to practice. Ideally, the winds should come from the north-east, and it’s suitable for surfing on low, mid, and high tides.
Besides just surfing, Figari offers various water sports activities, making it an ideal spot to try something new on those flat summer days. Just remember, it’s not always perfect, but every now and then, you might stumble upon some fun corners on a good day.
