The south side/cove can boast some decent sandbar peaks, which are semi-sheltered from NW wind. Low tide is better, with a smallish, peaky S swell running. Not a stellar break, but good enough at times to warrant yanking on that cold-’n’-clammy 5-mil.
Goat Rock was once an offshore sea stack, but man stepped in with his altering ways in the 1920s and connected the rock to the mainland with a paved causeway.
