Green Point surf guide

Green Point is a surf spot that's not on everyone's radar. It's a bit isolated and mainly known by the locals. The wave here is a bit of a hidden gem, showing off a solid peak that rises from deep water. It's not that crowded, so you might find some space to paddle out and enjoy the waves. However, access is across private land, so make sure to ask for the necessary permissions before you head out.

The surf at Green Point can handle swells up to about 6 feet (1.8 meters) and works best with a west swell direction. You might find good waves coming from the south-west and north-west as well. The break is a mix of reefs, offering both left and right waves. It's best to catch this spot during low to mid tide, and the ideal wind comes from the east. Keep in mind, though, this spot is for expert surfers only. It breaks pretty close to the rocks, so it's not really a place for beginners.

In terms of conditions, the wave can deliver some chunky barrels, making it a thrill for experienced surfers who enjoy a challenge. Just be prepared to deal with some tricky sections, and always respect the environment around you. Green Point may not be the most popular spot, but if you're up for it, you might be in for a solid session.
