Greenhill is a solid beachbreak that barrels close to shore, throwing up defined lefts and rights over sand. There's also a longer left that peels off the point, so on the right day you get both a punchy close-out-side barrel and a more drawn-out wall to play with.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from east to south and is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, so there's a wide working window when the surf is up. Consistency is moderate, meaning you'll want to pick your days rather than expect it every session. The close-to-shore barrels come alive on a due south swell, while the longer left off the point wants some size and the right tide to show its full length.
Wind and Tide
Look for north offshore wind to clean things up. The beachbreak works best around low to mid tide, and a rising tide is generally the better call. For the barreling peaks, low tide paired with north to northeast wind on a southerly swell is the combination to watch. The point's longer left, on the other hand, breaks at high tide, so time your session depending on which wave you're after.
Local Tips
Expect a fairly quiet lineup. This is a private beach, so it rarely gets crowded even when it's firing. Keep an eye on the rock at the end of the righthanders, it's the main thing to watch out for once you're on a wave.
Access
There's a lifeguard on the beach and public access is provided, but parking is the catch here: it's paid and restricted, with essentially zero parking in summer. Sort out where you'll leave the car before you make the trip during the busy months.
