South of Ichinomiya, T-shaped breakwaters create a diverse set of powerful beachbreaks (Torami, Shidashita) that on W winds and a clean, moderate NE swell, can produce perfect, long left walls. Something for everyone when small and experts will love the big days when NE swells line up long lefts outside the T jetties.
These waves however can’t be described as ‘clean’ as this area is let down by the brown coloured water and industrial waste that frequently pollutes the beach. It's also absolutely rammed in summer when waves are smaller and beginners and longboarders fill the line-ups.
