The Bay features a long, user-friendly right-hand point break, making it arguably the longest wave in Morocco. It typically handles swell sizes from about 2ft (0.6m) to 10ft (3m). Best conditions occur with swells coming from directions like SW, WSW, W, NW, and NNW, and the waves work well with low to mid tides. For paddling, it's pretty mellow, so beginners will find it manageable. While it's predominantly a right point break, there are also left and right reef breaks and beach breaks a little further down on the "Cathedral" side.

If you're looking to ride something different, Imsouane caters to various board types. You can have fun on a fish, a longboard, or even a funboard. Keep in mind, though, that the spot can get crowded, particularly with surf schoolers, so arriving early can help snag some good waves. The local vibe is generally laid-back, and even though you might clash with a few surf schoolers, it’s usually a friendly atmosphere. The best seasons to hit this spot are Autumn and Winter when the swells are consistent.
