Surf: The longest, fastest and most critical of Raglans three points. On smaller days Indicators splits into two or three sections. Outside Indicators has a heavy take-off into a throaty barrel and picks up the most size, but also the most wind. Indies has some hollow sections interspersed with performance and cutback walls. The final Valley section speeds up and hollows out again an lower tides. Larger days will occasionally break far enough out to link up with Whale Bay and maybe even Manu, but it's very unlikely to join the dots for the full 2km. Directions: In Raglan you will enter on Main Road, which then turns into Bow Street. Continue to the first roundabout and turn left onto Bankart Street, then turn left at the next roundabout onto Wainui Road. Continue on Wainui Road past the Manu Bay Reserve, then turn right onto Calvert Road, then turn right onto Tohora Close. Find a park around here, it can be very busy in summer. There is a walk way at the end of Tohora Close that will take you past the houses and down to the beach at Whale Bay, then walk west around the shore line to the next bay, Environment: This is the most competitive line-up and definitely for experienced surfers only. Access by paddling from the lagoon or walking and jumping off the rocks. Limited parking in Tohora Close.
