Intendencia is a challenging and very heavy left that has to be perfect in order to be makeable. Massive power is concentrated on the peak and gets square and slabby when there is less than a full tide covering the reef. This makes the take-off beyond vert and often unmakeable for all but the best stand-ups and bodyboarders.

Although it is often breaking, good days are rarer, when the local bodyboard crew have this place dialled in. Always bigger and heavier than it looks from the road.
