Isdhoo Bank surf guide

Isdhoo Bank is located on the northeast tip of the atoll and is less known among surfers, making it a bit of a hidden gem. This spot gets some decent waves but isnโ€™t the busiest place, so you might get to enjoy it without many crowds. Surf charters often pass through here on their way to the Southern Atolls, so it does get some attention from those in the know.

The waves at Isdhoo Bank break over dead coral and mostly form a right-hand reef break. The best swell direction to catch is Southeast, but you can also find some decent waves when the swells come from the South. This spot can handle swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (roughly 0.6 meters) and works well during low, mid, and high tides. The ideal wind direction is from the Southwest, and it's suitable for intermediate surfers looking to improve their skills.

Even though Isdhoo Bank is not the most famous surf spot, it offers a unique experience for those looking to escape the busier breaks. Keep in mind that conditions can vary, so itโ€™s always good to check the forecasts before heading out.
