Jenkinsons (Point Pleasant) surf guide

Surf: The south side of Manasquan Inlet only works on a NE or E swell. Once again, the deep water offshore here focuses the swell, which throws up a powerful wedge that barrels for a short distance before the shoredump. Mainly lefts that need lower tides and will handle a SW wind. Environment: Often crowded, including lots of bodyboarders. Privately-owned boardwalk enforces tags. Private guards generally don’t let surfers out in the water in summer, which is when it generally doesn’t break.
